Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to create a movie to be used as a tv
broadcast (show) in Sims 2. What are the specs for the movie? Can it be a quicktime movie?

I am running Mac OS 10.4.2.

I read posts online about it being a 15fps AVI file and that you place it in the EA Games/The Sims 2/Movies/Broadcast/[pick folder]. However, When I do this instead of the movie playing,
I get a screen with the tv channel X-ed out.

Does the movie need to be compressed a certain way or anything?

(I am thinking that the Mac version uses broadcasts (movies) in different ways b/c I have download some .avi files here that work on PCs but not on Macs.)

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Please help,

THanks

:)

Ok, I don't know. But since quicktime is systemwide on a mac and is built into every corner, I would assume that it relies on that architecture to get the video to run.

This means, you'll need to get your avi's to work in quicktime. Do they already? If not, download the 3ivx D4 4.5.1 plugin from here (http://www.3ivx.com/download/index.html) and you should be set.

This is only a guess of course, good luck.
