Well, You put it in: My Documents/EA Games/Sims2/Downloads. You are right, You go to Body Shop. Then, once in Body Shop, click on "CREATE PARTS " and "START NEW PROJECT". > "CREATE GENETICS" Find Your mesh and give it a name that's easy to remember. Keep Body Shop open and go into My Documents/EA Games/Sims2/Projects. There, find Your mesh and open its folder. There will be many bitmap images. The black & white ones define the shape of the mesh - don't recolour them. But the other ones, "Open With..." an appropriate editing program ( eg. Photoshop.) Recolouring the mesh is a quite long process, as You must individually colour each one ( except the black & white ones ).
However, as You'll notice, some of the bitmap images are the same, so a shortcut is to recolour one and copy it and when you open the others, just paste the one You coloured, rather than doing ALL of them...
Then, "IMPORT TO GAME" and You'll now have a brand new recolour.
