When I'm trying to install the original sims2 on my comp, at around 73%, a window pops up saying it couldn't transfer a file, and it still won't even after I push retry. What do i do?

It does that with my Simcity 4 because there was something on the disc and I used a key to get it off and accidently scratched the disc. Its pretty much useless now. Did you scratch your disc? Is it PC CD or DVD edition?

it's PC CD edition. It doesn't look like it has any scratches on it, but maybe I should clean it just in case...
