Plz..so simple but cant find what "code" in the white box to install

You know when you first install the Sims 2 and they ask for a code in a white box in the lower left on the back of he box....well i dont know what their talking about....what code????...its so frustrating please please please help

on the back of the cd case there should be a 16 long sequence of numbers and leters thats your serial code

For me it was on the back of the manual not the cd case.
