I have a patched version of the original TS2. No EPs.

When I click on the fridge/stove with one of my sims it doesn't give him the option to cook. Strangely, all my other sims can cook except this particular one. I've tried selling/rebuying the fridge/stove but that doesn't seem to be the problem. Any solution to this?

Open the sim in SimPE and see if anything looks weird.

I currently don't have SimPE, it would be no problem downloading it, and hopefull it would be easy to use, but besides using SimPE, is there any other way find out what's wrong? Or does somebody know what's wrong?

Are you using any sort of hacks, cheats, modified kitchen objects, etc.? Let's make sure there's not something wonky going on there...

What does that sim's cooking level show as in the game? Does he have other options from the fridge, like making lunch meat sandwiches and cereal, or does this only apply to foods he has to interact with the stove to create? If you lock him in a room with a fridge and a counter, can he make food autonomously?

If there's something wrong with that particular sim (as it sounds like there might be), SimPE might show it. Though if you've not used it before, you don't know what would look right, let alone what would look wrong... ;)

Grab yourself a copy of SimPE, and look at some of the tutorials for it available here, and at SimPE's site. Anything about editing a sim will help you. I'd be looking at his cooking skill in particular... If he's somehow gained 11 cooking points, he's gone over the top of the swingset, so to speak, and it can cause problems in the game.

11 skill points won't prevent all cooking. Negative points might.

He has a full cooking level, and I have tried searching for an answer, and that thing about not having an oven is false, since I haev an oven. I have no hacks/mods having to do with anything relating to kitchen objects, I do have other hacks, but I've had those hacks for a long time, so I doubt it is those. My sim's cooking level is 10. And I think the problem is the sim, since something similar liek this happened, but instead it was a buggy house/lot. The lot kept freezing up, but I fixed it by moving out and demolishing the lot. Any direct links to the SimPE tutorials? Like, the specific ones that I need? I'm too lazy to go look them up.

EDIT: I didn't see the part about 11 skill points, that could be a problem, since he had a high level of cooking (either 7 or 8) and he gained 3 cooking skill points from the medical career chance card thingy.

See searchy thing at the top of the page? And site map? Both of those'll get you where you need to go. You may have to poke around, but being lazy is no excuse. Sorry. ;) Any basic SimPE tutorial on setting up the program and editing a sim's anything should get you into the right part of the program to see what his cooking skill is, or if anything else looks obviously garbled or strange.

Alright, thanks a bunch.

I went to the SimPE official site, and they have a bunch of tutorials there. Would the one's on MTS2 be better or more informative? Or easier to understand?

Just try one of 'em, from there or here, that sounds like what you want. There are many authors of many tutorials, and they all have different writing styles. If one doesn't help you, try another. Back up your stuff before you do it and jump in.
