TV's, computers and sinks keep breaking

Is someone able to help me... I have a seriously strange problem with my game. For some reason all of a sudden all my tv's computers and sinks keep breaking. I think this may have been going on for more than a week. I didn't realise the problem was so bad until I tried to make one of the sims watch TV today and every time I put a new tv down it kept breaking straight away and the only command coming up was "repair". All my sinks are going crazy with water going everywhere...I'm going insane!
I realise it's probably something I've downloaded disrupting the game, but does anyone know of anyone having this problem before or know of an object or hack that may cause this problem?

Do you play with the boolProp code on? This is one of the problems you get from it. If there are numbers on the topright of your screen boolProp is enabled. Make sure you don't enter the lot with boolProp and your stuff won't break easily.

Yes, it sounds like you've hit the break inducer.

Thanks guys yeah I've been playing with boolprop on. Is there a way to reverse the break inducer?

Press control, shift and c simultaneously and then type boolprop testingcheatsenabled true. Shift click on a sim, and select spawn break suppressor. Then control, shift c and boolprop testingcheatsenabled false.
If you managed to accidentally spawn the break inducer, it means that you were working with the testing cheats enabled- if you have no recollection of turning this cheat on, it probably means that you've downloaded a mod which switches debug mode on at startup.
