Can you keep the TV on?

The Sims 1; they always used to leave the Televison on, even if they left the room and weren't watching it.

However, in the Sims 2, they always turn the TV off when they're done watching it.

Is there any way to leave the TV on? I've added some of my own videos, and I want them to keep playing (keep the TV on) without the Sims turing the damn thing off! :mean:

Depending on how neat they are, it is an autonomous action to turn the TV off. I know there is a hack to make them turn it off, you'll have to search around to see if you can find one to do the opposite. Other than that, you can tell the less neat sims to turn on the TV and then do something else- sometimes this works.

Its been my experiance that if a sim has enough neat points, they will turn off unused tvs left on by others.
