Can you move sims manually between families?

I've had a small accident with one of my families. The dad moved out but then the mom died. Now I have a family with just the children in so they are running out of money fast!!

I want to move the dad back in but because there are no adults in the house there is no option to move him in!!

Is there any way to manually move him from the family he's in now into the family of just kids??

I've spent a lot of time of this family and its very sad now they are all going to die!!!

You could use the "money" cheat to keep them going for now until you get an answer to your question.

Alternately, use the tombstone of L&D to spawn yourself a new random adult so there's an adult on the lot.

I have managed it. I downloaded Sims Package Editor and on the neighbourhood deleted the dad from one family and added him to the other.

Very happy now!!
