Hopefully someone can help me ...

First off - I've noticed references to "special event videos" and frankly, I don't think I've ever seen one of these (and if I have, I'm stupid -lol-). I know that when they have their first kiss, there is little hearts that float around them both ... but I haven't seen anything else other than that. I'm assuming that I don't have a good enough video card (not something I can fix anytime soon) but maybe I'm just looking for something more that really isn't even there?

But here's the REAL issue (the first was only found while looking to solve this one): I know that red water means needing to update your drivers or a video card ... but I haven't had any other problems until today. While in the neighborhood screen, after playing the Smith family in Strangeville last night (and yes I do have hacks) I noticed that when I went to the neighborhood view that their water was a light purplish color. Not red or green - just a sort of off color from the normal.

Now its not a big issue and I can live with it: everything else loads fine, runs fine, its not even really slow (maybe a little tiny bit) or jerky or anything, good detail. Could it be a hack? Or is my computer finally getting to the point where the game is almost too much for it? I'll probably go through and start pulling out hacks to see if anything fixes it - but it seems like a random thing to be effected (but, ya never know).

Help and ideas would be appreciated though! :valentine

The special event camera can be enabled in game by clicking on the button at the bottom of the screen with the three dots ... on it, and then clicking the camera icon. You'll see all of the camera options there, as well as special event camera. If it is greyed out it means that your graphics capabilitoes are not high enough, and if your PC is a little underpowered you may also notice that these videos lag or jump.
As for the purple water, you could try some different graphic drivers:
