All custom content just not working

The problem is that the only things I can get to work on my game are things which are re-couloured versions of original sims items.

I was wondering whether there was anything other than the colour enabler that I need to download in order to get custom content (such as clothes,hair styles and carrers) to work.

Firstly, have you patched the game? Aspyr are up to rev. C now:

Next, take a look at the FAQ for PC users- the guidelines are the same for Mac, except that the path is a little different- you'll need Mac hard drive/ username/ documents/ EAGames/ The Sims2. Take a look:

Put clothes, genetics and Sims into the Saved Sims folder, and make sure you have meshes and at least one recolour.
