Patches

Can you install patches on a Macintosh? I tried to install the patches from thesims2.ea.com, but it my computer told me it "couldn't write the files". What's going on? If the patches don't work, will there ever be "Mac patches" released? :sadpanda:

P.S. I tried the patch for Macs from the aspyr site, but it wouldn't download either.

The patches on the official site don't work for Mac. Everything on that is geared toward Windows, sadly.

The patch on the Aspyr site is the only one I know of for Mac, I've never downloaded any other. It's odd how it's not working for you. What does it say when you try?

Did you get an error message from the Aspyr site, or did you have a problem with making the patch install? It's worth trying again:

Do you know if you need to install the Sims2 patch if Univ. is installed? I'm assuming you don't but I want to be sure.

but it must be installed before university.. i think...

hi i have been trying to get my game working for the past week and i cant get it to work i have installed and uninstalled 9 time already and i have been up for three noihgts trying to find out what the problem could be with this game iam about to cry. I check my requriments and all i even went to easyinfo everything checks out fine. but i keep getting app. will now terminate when my game is loading or the loading will frezze
please help
