How Do You Make A Bakery? For the life of me I cant figure it out, in the Maxis-Made lot its got all these cakes and all this stuff ,I cant figure how to do that.
Also whats the deal with haveing to have the owner of the lot on the "Restock Craft Items" is there a mod to let them be restocked with anyone being on the lot?

First, you need to have enough of cooking skill to make them.

Second, so far there is no such mod/hack, and so the owner has to be on the lot to restock any item that is not buyable in the buy mode.

Y2kRobie, To make a bakery you need a couple of things...
First, someone to bake items (with a stove that has an oven). Doesn't have to be the owner of the business. The Jacquet Family that comes with OFB has it set up that Gilbert owns the bakery but his mother, Denise actually has the cooking skill to bake the items to sell.

You also need a display case (you should use the Decra-Chill Display because it will preserve the food to keep it from spoiling) to put the baked goods to be sold into. And a cash register to ring out the purchases.

To stock/restock the baked goods you'll have the option to Make and Make Many. If you use the 1st option then the baker sim will make one of whichever item that you choose. If you use the 2nd option (Make Many) then the baker sim will make keep on making the same baked good item until you cancel the action (or the sims needs drop too far then the action will cut off automatically). When you use the Make Many option, the items will automatically be placed into the owners inventory for restocking later. Any controlable or employee sim can restock out of the owners inventory.

Maxis really should have done a better job of explaing all this stuff, I hate haveing to think in the sims, hence why I play. LOL

Are you still playing the Jacquets' (and their pre-built business) or sims that you created? If playing your own sims, have you started your business? I believe that the option to Make/Make Many only appears after the business is founded.

No, Im useing my own family now but useing the bakery Im guessing that was theres? It starts with a J, I think..lol I deleted that family, cause I dont like Maxis familys.
Anyhow Im trying to do it on another lot and its just confuseing to me, hopefully someone will make a hack to allow you to restock like you do with everything else, not haveing to have it go through your inventory and all that stuff.

There is no reason to make a hack to bypass the inventory because you can use custom food item bought through the "Buy Mode" and set it to Wholesale. (This causes occasional errors that make your restock marker jump to the edge of the lot) Otherwise the make/inventory/restock process is required as that is the only way to obtain the objects in order to restock.

I'm also havin trouble with the bakery. My cooking skill is maxxed out, but it won't let me bake desserts. I can't restock with cakes or pies, or restock period, for that matter. How do I get a "baker sim"? Or, I guess, how do I turn my sim into one?
