How do you remove walls?

I feel like a moron! I've seen some excellent tutorials on how to make these amazing lots, but in the directions they say to remove the walls. How do I do that? Detailed instructions (click this button here/looks like this) would be very much appreciated, or even if you could point me to somewhere that will tell me how. Thanks!

Well use the wall tool, hold down 'ctrl' and click and drag it over the wall you want to remove. :)
