It's me again  ,

After taking a break from trying to learn meshing, I wanted to come back to it. But the (new) computer crashed due to a power dip, and I thought it wiped everything off the computer, but apparently somehow the sims2 files (downloads and whatnot) survived the reinstall of windows.

So finally I get around to reinstalling the games, and go to open BodyShop and get the "This application has crashed, the application will now terminate."

I checked around the boards and found a few posts, tried everything, moving saved sims out, moving downloads out, deleting the cigen file. The only thing I can think of is that at the end of installing NL it seemed to "crash" as in it finished installing and for some reason gave me the same error. Either that or all the saved files got corrupted from the computer crash.

Ideas? I'd really like to get back into skinning and meshing. Thanks for all your help

Well try and look if Bodyshop crashes from a clean instal (without downloads folder) this mean reinstall all again also.

Ur game also crashes or is just Bodyshop?

Nightlife install crash at the end if u didnt patch the original version and then install university, no other patch needed (at least it worked for me).
So its: the sims2/patch/university/nightlife :smash:

Try this also Here (http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?p=1110120)

Thanks for the reply. The uninstalling was my last measure :sadpanda: because all my downloads! And the saved games, but oh well. I uninstalled them all and are reinstalling one by one, checking bodyshop as I go.

I've done TS2/NL so far, nightlife patched itself and bodyshop has loaded okay so far. Apparently, haven't really (stupid me I know) tried anything in it. I shall do that now, and report back.

If all goes well I'll add in my downloads again and see, it was probably corrupted saved sims or something, no? Mini-fridge <-- :smash: It caused the power dip :sadpanda:

Again thanks, things are going really well so far :giggler:

Yup sure is a corrupted file but mabe not a mesh or such.... must be a hack or a global that must be installed not just extracted to downloads (but the files are in the folder). :worm:

Im happy because all is going well. :grouphug:
