Follow Up: anelca!

Hi need help in finding the base game archive inorder to go in and get the script for the pools. So that I can rid of the custom pools that I have installed or could someone explain to me how to uninstall the custom pools?

Once again I want to give a great thanks to you for giving me so much help and to give a follow up on what happened. I place the attachment that you sent and it cleared up all those customized pool recolors all except for a few and it put my split- level pool icon back where they're are suppose to be, but sady :( :weep: I still can't place steps on my split-level foundation, it's still saying "can't place landing". Oh well I'll just not use this madding tool!

i removed my EA games folder to my desktop, uninstalled, cleaned the registries and reinstalled all of my games then replaced the EA games folder, to do this as i couldn't find, or didn't back up the originals
there may be an easier way though that someone might turn up with

Thank you anelca for the suggestion, but the problem is that I can't do a complete uninstall because of one my base game disk (3) is damaged:weep: . I know there is an archive that can be unzipped, because someone told me how to get to it. Needless to say I forgot were it was located. :cry:

i think the script is actually in with the foundation one. are you wanting to correct it because your split levels don't allow the placement of stairs? (in OfB)

i have made a copy of my scripts which i will attach to this post shortly ( i have to go into IE to use the attachment facility. it won't work in firefox for me)

here you go. just unrar, delete the "copy of " part of the filename and drop it into your program files/EAGames/TheSims2/TSData/ Res/Catalog/Scripts
it should overwrite what you have

Thank you! Your the best for trying to help poor girl out, but before I use your attachment I need to tell you that I found my OFB New Foundation tool in where the pool tools are located so I desparately need the script that will clean out the costumized pools. Omg it is a miss in there!
If you could attach your pool script for the base game that would be wonderfull too!

the pool script is in with the foundation file i sent you :) the files are supposed to be in there. however the one you need and the one i have sent you needs to go in the base game script files not your OfB ones

if you double click on the unrared file you will see it is at the bottom of the list. it looks like this

buildTipIndices 23 23

pool 3
wallStyle 29
floorPattern "floor_poolRoundedLipBlue"
catalogTextIndex 6

you could copy and paste that bit if you want and replace the custom pools with that one

hmmm....sorry that didn't clear it all up for you :(
can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the EPs, now that you have the correct foundation scripts?
and if there are any more scripts you need from the original i would be happy to send them to you as well



edit: heres another script you might need. apologies. i went back to search for the thread i discovered what the cause was in and realised the walls script also needs replacing
