I am getting an error message as soon as the game finishes loading. A box comes up with this message:
Error missing neighbor for data access
An error occurred in object N001-Mortimer#663
The stack trade is saved in C/DocumentsandSettings/MyDocuments/EAGames/TheSims2Logs/ObjectError_N001_t804334.txt
and underneath all of this in the same box it has buttons asking if you want to cancel, delete, or reset. I've clicked the buttons but message keeps coming up. I took out recent downloads thinking those were the culprits, but nope.
I have Nightlife.

Try playing with the boolProp cheat disabled.

Oh, okay is this boolprop cheat thing automatically enabled? I guess I'll do a search on this site on how to find it thanks.

You have to actually enable the cheat..."boolproptestingcheatsenabled true/false"...so if you don't what it is and/or how to enable it, then it probably isn't your problem.
...not that this post is really helping you, but if that isn't your issue then it would be a waste of time looking for it...
Good luck anyway...y'know what, I had a similar problem with a lot that I had downloaded...have you run cleanistaller to check for unwanted hacks? ...and sorry, I can't remember how I got rid of the problem. I think I bulldozed the lot and deleted the affected sim.

It can also be enabled if it's included in your userstartup.cheat file in your Config folder, which many people end up getting without realizing what they're getting/what it does. It will automatically be enabled if it's included in the userstartup.cheat file.

No boolprop in Config folder, also tried to disable it in the game. No success. Oh I forgot to add this problem. If I click on Delete or Reset, I cannot save the game, arg!

Does it work if you remove your downloads folder?

Before I do that, I noticed in the Logs folder I have a bunch of notedpad files titled "Missing Anim" and "ObjectError_N001_t"(after the "t" there is a series of numbers)
Should I remove this Logs file instead?

The log files are generated when you run the program in debug mode. You must have a mod in there somewhere which is switching on the testing cheats.

I found a "userStartup.cheat file in my Config folder; also a bunch of error messages in my Log folder. Does that mean I'm playing the game with boolprop enabled? The only thing I can think of that might be doing this is the "FFS Lot Debugger" I downloaded from MATY. I've been coming up with some errors in a lot I'm currently playing even with all hacks and mods moved out, and haven't been able to track down the problem.

The error messages in your log folder are normal. You can delete the userstartup.cheat file. This will allow you to play with the boolProp cheat off. You can always turn it on when you need it, but it's just dangerous to play with it on all the time. It can seriously mess up your game. It is after all a "testingcheat"...

I took out the userstatup.cheat file and that seemed to fix the problem. Thank you!
