My game works for a bit, then goes blue

Here is something that has been happening and I can't sort it out or find other people with the same problem. I can play my home or downtown for awhile, then the screen goes blue like it's loading and freezes. If anyone knows how to correct this, please post it here! I only have one hack (wear anything pregnancy one) but maybe it's a bad download? Thanks to anyone who can reply or point me into the right direction.

Have you been alt-tabbing or alt-escaping from the program when it's fullscreen and then returning to it? You'll often get a looooooong wait time at the blue screen if you alt-tab out of the program to do something in another window.

I thought this was because of my virus program and firewalls, so now I shut them off, but after playing a hour or so, the screen goes blue (I'm not doing anything but playing...) I wonder if it's my videocard?

If you are using an Nvidia graphics card then this is most likely a graphics issue- there are several other threads about this on here, too. If you have the latest drivers, try using an older driver. I am using the latest (84.21) Nvidia drivers and have found them to be the least problematic, although I do very occasionally get the bluescreen/ hourglass. If you have recently upgraded your graphics drivers then it is worth completely removing your drivers using a program such as Driver Cleaner (http://www.drivercleaner.net/) to get rid of all traces of old drivers, then reinstall the drivers you were using. I don't think it's a problem with your card, just the drivers- this has been a common problem with Open for Business.

I can play my game for a few then i can click on something for my sim to do and the whole game freezes of it flashes and everything has a white outline of something. my npc's clothing is white and it has the writeing in it i cant make out what it say's. ive taken out all the hacks that the game said might casues problems and nothing changed. please help me someone im dieing without playing the sims its all most to the point that i might uninstall OFB play with out it :(
