Some CC Only Showing On Randomized Sims

Okay. I used Q-Express and downloaded several Teen and Adult female shirts ( http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=110148&highlight=My+Chemical+ROmance+shirts in particular), and I am running into a problem. They do not show up on the menus in the game. However, if I push the Random Sim button enough, a Sim will appear wearing the item in question. One such character is roaming my game, she appears just fine. It works, however inconveniently. My question is, how do I fix this?

On an unrelated note, Sims I am downloading are only appearing in Bodyshop, not the game. Any help for this either?

For the T-shirts, it sounds like the creator may not have imported the files into the game correctly. Without trying them for myself I can't say this for sure, so your action should be to contact the creator, explain the problem and ask if he/ she imported the files into the game using bodyshop, or took the files from the projects folder.
For the sims problem, are you looking in the correct age group and gender?

By way of Sims, I dolved that one myself-the sim in question was a young adult, not an adult. Silly me.

The creator has been absent from the site since December last year. Is there any way I can extract the images and redreate the clothes myself? They don't show up in Bodyshop either.

If you could find the files you could extract the textures using SimPE, then use them to create a new project in bodyshop.
