View Full Version : Different Opening Music & Loading Music Doesn't Play

The EPs I have are Uni and NL. I have all the patches from the official site.

The opening movie that plays when you start up the game is now playing a different version of the opening song. It sounds more staticky/techno-ish and I just noticed it yesterday. I have no idea how long it's been going on since I usually skip the movie. Did the song change with the release of UNI and/or Nightlife?

Also, after the movie, there's the loading screen with the captions like "Re-Re-Re-Reticulating Spines" that flash across it. The music that accompanies it doesn't play anymore. It's just silent no matter how loud I turn my speakers. I'm certain something is wrong because just last week, the music in this part was playing fine.

My suspicion was that it might have something to do with my new version of Winamp. I used to use v5.093 and all was fine, but because Winamp kept bugging me about updating for security, I downloaded the latest version a couple of days ago. I tried reinstalling my older copies, but nothing changed.

Does anyone know why it's happening? I've only been downloading Body Shop items and a few lots from MTS2, that I always use Clean Installer to check. I've even tried removing the downloads folder but the problem is still there.

I'm not sure if this is a sign that something's wrong, but here's something else: I've put some of my mp3s into the Music folder to play during the game. However, when the audio setting is on Stereo, the music plays... well, wrongly. Sections where the singer is louder than the melody even out, so the singer and the melody are meshed together. The same thing happens when my Winamp's Balance is placed at Centre.

That problem is fixed when I change the audio setting to 5.1, and when I shift the Winamp Balance bar to 100% Left or Right.

I haven't checked my settings in so long, so I can't be sure if they've always been like this since playing the base game, and that the installation of Uni/NL reverted it to the default settings.
