Pregnant sims not giving birth

ok heres my problem... weneva one of my sims gets pregnant and is about to give birth an error comes up saying that the game has crashed and will terminate. what do i do?? it keeps happening and i cant play with one of my families now because when i saved the game she was about to give birth... Please help me!!! :!: :!:

Hey, youngans move your downloads to your desktop. Then start your game and see if this helps. If this solves the problem, then you have a hack that is possibly causing this problem.

petallotus is on the right track with that - though it's entirely possible that what's causing the problem is something that isn't a hack, like a bad skintone or other genetics that is causing an error when the baby's born. Either way, do as she says and move your Downloads folder to your desktop, run the game, and if the baby can be born without an error, then do this: http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?t=139702

ive tried that... it still wont work ive also tried having the baby with and without the boolProp code on... i dotn know what else to do

You can also try deleting the pregnant sim using the moveObjects cheat.

Is this just one sim, or does it happen with several sims? Do the pregnant sims have custom skintones? Are the babys' fathers alive?

Are the skins the hidden Maxis 'Maniquin'(sp?) skintones?
