Hi im really not sure who to ask or where to get help. I have a question so i figured maybe a global mod could help me. I hope noone gets upset because this isnt really for a hack.

I had sims on my computer but i have just recently got a new computer. When i went to install the original disc onto it. It made me keep the first disc in and put discs 2-4 in the other drive for it to even install. I was just wondering if that's something i should be worried about. It seems to be working fine game wise. But i can't add any downloads and there is no Lot folder to download houses. Is this normal?

My second and main question is.. I figured maybe if i reinstalled my sims open for business on the missing files (I.E. Lots, and Downloads) would be replaced and i could use that. But i lost the code to install the disc. I can't find the booklet is there anywhere i could get a new code?

Once again im really sorry. if there is a special place i can ask questions on a forum for help could someone please give me the link. Thanks for your time.

Contact EA about the code problem.

Also, your downloads folder pops up when you first start the game.

No, Bodyshop generates a downloads foolder, not the game itself. You can make your own folder, just make sure you spell it with a capital D. You can find the lotfolder on your original disc somewhere.

If you try to install a sims2pack the game should generate a saved sims and lot catalog folder for you. However, if you wish to find the Maxis lots that are usually in the lots and houses bin then you can go to Program files/ EA Games/ The Sims2/ TS Data/ Res/ User Data and copy (not cut) the lot catalog folder from there to My Documents/ EA Games/ The Sims2. The neighbourhoods can also be restored in the same way, the files are in the same folder in your program files.
For the license key, read this:

There is a link at the bottom for contacting EA if you didn't register.

I have never started up Bodyshop. When I reinstalled my base game and EPs, I started the game and exited, just to make sure it worked. When I came back into Windows, I went to My Documents folder and then the EA Games folder, and it clearly had the Downloads folder. I never backed up my downloads or gamefiles, so I clearly assumed that the game made it for me.
