How do you recolor a Custom objects that you have downloaded ?

If anyone knows how to do this or if there is a tutorial i have missed, would they kindly show me please. I would be very grateful if you did.

Please, read the forum guidelines: Object Creation & Texturing is the right place for object recoloring questions, not Modding Discussion :).

See Numenor's object recoloring tutorial in the tutorial section. Recoloring custom objects is very similar to recoloring Maxis ones, the only difference is that you click the Open button instead of Start when you start up Object Workshop. This is explained in Numenor's tutorial. You have to use Object Workshop for recoloring custom objects, Wizards of SimPE only works for Maxis objects.
