nothing I do will work

please help me! I have changed my download folder to D from d.I have installed the sims cleaninstaller.I have the meshes I need. I have done every thing I can think of, i have done every thing this site siad to, and stell my makeup eye colors hiars and clothes just wont show up at all in my game I have all the sims games. I installed a CEP and stell nothing! can anyone help or should I give up and just make my own.Please help I am to lazy to make my own.

Are you sure that the Downloads folder is in this location:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\
and not in Program Files? Have you tried putting the CAS items into your Saved Sims folder instead? Also, you did enable custom content, correct?
