:!: :alarm: :alarm: :alarm: I really need to know how to remove .simspack files after they've been installed. It's super urgent! One of them is causing a conflict in my game! HELP! PLEASE??

The only types of content that can be packaged as a .sims2pack file are lots, sims, floors and walls. Any of which can be deleted from in the game. Are you able to select the item that needs to be deleted without the game freezing/crashing?

Most major conflicts are caused by hacks/mods, which would be present as .package files in the .Sims2Pack file. Try this: open the .Sims2Pack file in Clean Installer. Mouse over each item in the pack. You should see a box pop up giving you a name and description, and more importantly, a package name for each item. Make a note of any file names that end in .package, then search for those files in your Downloads folder and move them to your desktop. Try the game.

If that doesn't work, the Hack Conflict Detection Utility from SimWardrobe (http://148.122.173.174/pplace/Sims_2_HCDU.htm) might help you find the source of your problem.

I can't see how Sims2pack files in your downloads can cause conflicts, simply if its not got the .package extension then the game simply just ignores it and bypasses it, although the downloads won't show up in the game, unless you extract them out of the Sims2Pack files.

Ok, to clarify... Hacks/mods can be packaged in .sims2pack files but only when it's a lot (residential or community). If Kasmac92 installed a lot to their game without using Clean Installer or with but didn't take note of the included content, then yes there could be a rogue hack causing a conflict. But the .sims2pack file itself shouldn't be causing the conflict unless the lot was built with EPs that Kasmac92 doesn't have installed.

Thanks guys! I removed the hack that was causing my problem. It was an object that had disabled all self-sim and object interactions. I used the Clean Installer to go and remove the object. Thnx for helping me so much!!(=
