Hi I'm trying to recolor the Maxis rugs but the problem i'm having is that it doesn't look right. it overlaps the middle of the carpet somehow, I read somwhere that I need to make sure that the middle is right where the flower is on the Maxis rug, But I do that and it still overlaps. Please can someone make a template for the maxis rugs Pretty please. Thanks.

Which rug are you trying to recolor, and can you post a screenshot of the problem?

I don't know how to post a picture. the rug is the rectangle one not the round ones. the area one for the livingroom or bedroom its the 800 dollar one. sorry. I'm not very good at this but thanks for your reply. I really would like a template if possible, I would be able to do it then.

You can post a screenshot by first taking a picture in game and then uploading it as an attachment here by using the Manage Attachments button.

I've been wrestling with the $800 oriental carpet myself lately. Maybe some of what I learned can help you.
I found that the best way to align the texture correctly was by using a texture map (I have attached the one that I created for your use). To do this you will have to have two objects in your photo/paint editing program. i.e. the texture itself & the texture map. Place the texture map on top & set its opacity low enough so that you can see both images at once. It should look something like this.

It is now easier to visualize what is going to appear in the game. As you see there are only two boxes. The box on the left will be flipped horizontally to complete the rug lengthwise. This means that you must align the texture as the image starting on the right side of the left box will be flipped & repeated on the right side of the right box. Of course, once the texture is aligned correctly you should delete the texture map object.
It takes a bit of practice but after a while becomes much easier.
Good luck :)
