Mesh Help

I am new to creating, and I have thus successfully recolored Maxis and other created Paintings, but I would like to create my own meshes to add the new art work to. Is there any tutorial that can help me specifically? Or can anyone point m in the right path to accomplishing my goal?

Yes, see the tutorial section, it has many meshing tutorials. Especially the Start to Finish object creation tutorial from JWoods is a good start.
