Looks Changing

When I build my family, and modify their looks and all, when I move them into a lot, two of the adults looks go back to the faces Maxis has in the choice selection for faces, this is getting annoying, and can someone please help me or give me an idea of what is wrong?

Do you have the Pets EP? Is your game patched? Have you downloaded any face template replacements, and do you have any hacks or Downloads? If so, back up the game and try without them.

Yes I have pets, yes I have downloads. No my game is not patched, what patch do I need?

There is seemingly a game bug with pets where people are finding that CAS created sims have their faces changed in the manner you are describing, but only when they are CAS created in a family containing Pets. A workaround seems to be to create the sims as a family, move them into a lot then create some pets for them and merge the families.
The patches you require are the base game patch (for either the CD or DVD version), plus the patches for each EP and SP you own. Currently Pets and Glamour Life Stuff are the only unpatched games. You should install them all- if you have all EPs and SPs this would total 4 patches- base game, NL (this also contains Uni), OFB and FFS. Back up your game files BEFORE installing any patches.

For the custom content, with any problem or glitch you have with the game the first step is to rule out the possibility that the custom content is causing the problems. To do this you need to generate a 'clean' Sims 2 folder as described in this article:

Yes, I'm having the same problem! Glad I found this thread, because it was driving me BONKERS! :wtf: By merging the pets with the sims, will I just move the pets into the same house/lot? I didn't realize you could do that, but I'm off to try it out....

Merging households was introduced with Uni and works with pet households. :)
