Ok...In Paint Shop Pro, I am having a real problem painting/blending the edges of a photo skinned face onto a maxis skin (or any skin for that matter). The pictures I'm using are high quality, but the guy's face I am trying to create has stubble on his face, which makes the 'edges' of his picture quite dark, especially around the chin and jaw areas.

My problem is that I'm having a really difficult time of blending these edges onto a skin so that it looks good.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

PS. I've read the tuts, so I need extra help that isn't already listed!
Thank you!

Hmm. I guess I'd have 2 thoughts

1) not use the photo for that part of the face at all, and use maxis stubble (which personally, I'd prefer for flexibility)

2) when I've been trying to do things like blend out folds in clothing or dark spots that had to be lighter - I have sometimes made a new layer and then painted the color light color over the section I'm trying to blend out, at first I'm painting right over it (on the new layer) and it looks horrible. I then blur it some, and then lower the opacity of the layer so that some of the original texture shows through, but I've lightened it. I don't know if that will help. I'll do another layer with the same technique if that didn't lighten it enough...
