Can someone please tell me exactly what the heck this is? What function does it serve? I noticed mine was quite large. Is it alright to delete it ? Or will this rain destruction and ruin down upon me? LOL

I did find some threads recommending deletion of this file, but I'm a bit chicken to go and delete files I know nothing about. :wtf: I regularly delete the group.cache file.

I am not having any game issues at the time. It's just that 'enquiring minds want to know'.

Yea, go ahead and delete it Canoodle, I did and I didn't have a "plague of frogs" rain down upon me or anything. It will regenerate it's self the same as the "groups".

Thanks G.O.C. BTW, do you know what the heck it is and why is it there?

It is a cache file which holds the pet collars and other accessories. It speeds up loading the game just a little if present and not corrupted.

Nice to know. Thank you. So in other words, I don't need to delete it ? Mine has 6453KBs. I thought that was a little high. But since I am having no problems and the game loads fast and smooth, I suppose I should just leave it alone?

*thanks for the swift awesome replies*

Unless you're encountering startup problems, leave it alone. But if you DO run into problems (like TS2 taking forever to load, or silently crashing) deleting this file (along with groups.cache) often helps.

I haven't noticed those kind of problems in Pets though.

Thanks again! It's wonderful to know you can get fast and accurate answers here. I don't know what I'd do without y'all.

This can be locked now.

Yes, thanks "jordi" I didn't know what it was, I just knew it didn't harm the game by deleteing it. Thanks again.
