Right ok, so ive installed Pets which uninstalled OFB. i uninstalled that and then re installed it with backups etc. NO CHANGE!!! what am i supposed to do? when i reinstall ofb there is nothing in my sims 2 folder that i made. then when i put back my backup folder it overwrites that and there is no change in the game. Also the Pets game, whenever i insert it into the disk tray it starts installing again, but the shortcut on my desktop works fine. Is this the cause of the uninstalling OFB? Should i install pets again to get them to work right? if anyone knows what i can do then please tell me thanks bye.

Firstly, are you installing to the default locations, and are you installing from the same CD drive as you are playing from? I'd suggest at this point trying a complete clean reinstall, removing all remaining registry entries and folders:

No, that's just fine- I was only asking as sometimes installing to a non default location can cause glitches if not done properly! Try the complete reinstall.

Ok i will, and if it works or not i'll let you know. But creating Backups is such a pain as it took over three hours last time ;(!!! LOL

Just cut and paste your Sims 2 folder from My Documents/ EA Games to the desktop and it will be perfectly safe.

Hi, Do you have to uninstall Pets and OFB? when you paste backups into the game folder after installing OFB, is that all you need to do? Or do you have to uninstall Pets as well as OFB and then paste backups into folder???
