Followed HystericalParoxysm's Bodyshop instuctions but still not working

When I load up bodyshop there is no pictures of any clothes, hair, eye colour ect. (infact their is not any pictures at all) just empty boxs. The model sim which should stand on the left doesn't appear and when i go to quit even the box which says something like 'to you really want to quit' is empty. the backgound is completely black.

I have followed all HystericalParoxysm's instructions (thank you very much for these) and even moved the whole sims 2 folder started the sims then tryed body shop again. none of this worked. I then thought it could be a problem which direct x so i downloaded the lastest version but still no luck.

I am trying to use the bodyshop which came with pets (none of the others work either)

If any one has any ideas how to fix this problem i would be very grateful

First, please move your Sims 2 folder to a safe place and run the game:

This will force the game to generate a nice, clean Sims 2 folder for you. Now, run Bodyshop. Does it work?

Next thing I'd recommend is to try some different graphics drivers:

thank you very much for that. I had a bit of a shock when finding out which graphic card i had i was told it was one of the best Nvidia ones but it appears to be one which came with the computer. Any way i looked on the internet and there are no newer drivers. This cold explain my problem with body shop but my game works perfectly even on the highest settings. Could it be anything else or is there anyway of tesing if it is actually the graphics card?

Which drivers do you have? The newest aren't always the best- check out this thread:

I FIXED IT :D

I uninstalled the base game and all the expansion packs then reinstalled it all. It took a while but it works now. There most have been an error during the installation somewhere.

I had tried just reinstalled pets before but this didn't work.

One thing i have noticed now its working properly is the the bodyshop icon has changed i used to be i clear box which a white strip at the top. It now looks like a sim standing on a stage (don't know if this is relevant).

Well done, glad you got it fixed! Yes, it does sound like an install problem, although I always suggest reinstalling as the last thing to try! Well done.
Yes, the icon sounds right- bodyshop has that icon in my game. This should most certainly help other people, thankyou!
