Hello-

Believe me I have tried everthing I could think of and find to help me solve this problem. I have read through all the FAQs and been through online help through this website with "whiterider."

I will be referring mostly to these four downloads -

http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=142705
http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=136588
http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=131513
http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=131515

The first one worsks without any problems, but not the other three. The last one I think has an incorrect mesh attached to it, so I will be working to look for the correct mesh.

What is strange about the other two is that I have the correct meshes and color enablers installed (at least I think I do) but they will not show up in either the "create-a-sim" closet, "body shop," or in any shopping closet downtown. However, it WILL show up in "Content Manager" AND on an SIM randomly through "create-a-sim" when the game first gives the characters clothes. I had a character wearing a shirt in "create-a-sim," but when I went to the closet to find it, it wasn't there.

Does anybody have any random thoughts of wisdom that may be able to share to help with my problem? Thanks so much!

First backup your entire My Docs/EA Games/Sims2 folder. Then move your Downloads and Saved Sims folders to your desktop. Create new ones and put only the outfits and required meshes into the Downloads folder. Run the game and see if the outfits show up under the correct gender and age group. Let us know if the outfits show up. http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?t=192907

I tried this and did every download seperately. They still don't show up at all. Are the meshes just all wrong that she used? Out of date possibly? Can anybody else get these to work? ::::very frustrated:::::

If it shows up in your game at all, even randomly then the mesh is fine. Sometimes when creators make things they are corrupt and won't show up in your game, this sounds like the case.

I tested the files and couldn't get them to work either. So it really isn't just you. As I don't do Bodyshop creation, I'm not sure what can be done to fix this but there are far more knowledgabe people here who might have a better answer.

Looks like the only one of those that you might be able to get working is this one: http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=142705

I haven't opened each of the files but from the filenames (and a glance at a sampling) it appears that, with the exception of that one, the creator has uploaded files from their Projects folder, rather than SavedSims. The lack of complete data will make it so those items do not show up properly - and that randomly coming up is a pretty good sign too.

I'll send a PM to that creator letting her know her files are busted so she can fix them.

If you use SimPE at all, you can check files yourself to see if they've got this problem (so you can notify creators that they've oopsed so they can fix it if you run into this in future). Open the recolour file in SimPE (not the mesh). Look in the list of resources in the top left list box. There will be Texture Images and Material Definitions, so you know this is a recolour file, not a mesh... Now, check to see if there is a Text List. There should be one if the file is from SavedSims. If there's no Text List (among other resources that will be missing, but I always look for that one), it won't work right, and is most likely from Projects.

Thank you both for checking these files. I really appreciate it. I don't go as far into this as using SimPE, I'll get too obsessed with skinning if I do that! Thanks again for your help.
