Hi , well I tell you , I was making a new mesh for sims 2.
Well [I was following the tiggerypum's tutorial] until I decided to put the Al's sims shoes so this is my problem:

I have added well the shoes but the problem is here:
http://www.simskins.net/Tutorials/Adding_Shoes/Imagenes/05.jpg
As you can see there is a Flat line between Thigh and Calf
So following the DABOO'S TUTORIAL (http://www.simskins.net/2_Tutorial_Add_Shoes_01.html) [on page 2] it says that it could be repaired by selecting the zone and by clicking in ''weld together'' but when I click the ''weld together'' option nothing happens... and this is the big trouble I have.
The line does that my mesh has a cut in the thigh.

Someone Knows what is happening?
Why?

Do not follow daboo's tutorial _at all_.

I state that at the end of tutorial #3. And there's directions in tutorial #3 for how to fix that line, you must have missed part of it. There's a LOT in tutorial #3.

Part 3 explains how to make sure each vertex there is in an identical place
Part 4 should get rid of the seam
Part 5 is how you do the bone assignments, except that you need to do the entire lower leg, looking at references from a working sims 2 mesh to get them right.

Don't use daboo's tutorials to set the bone weights either, it's bad.

Ok TY so much Tigeri.
I've found a tip to put the Al sims shoes without the flat line ,,, it consist in erase the vertices of the original leg under the red part and then when you put the Al sims shoes the leg will appear without the flat line.

Sorry for my poor english I'm trying to learn English.

Oh you absolutely had to delete the rest of the leg (would never have thought you wouldn't) You really must go through the tutorials here on site and _do them_. You wouldn't have made that mistake if you had.

IF you followed the tutorial directions, your mesh file would be in your downloads folder named MESH_...... and your recolors (which you also have to include) are in your Saved Sims folder and you should fix up the names before you share them with other people. Put your recolors and the mesh file together into a folder, zip or rar the folder, and that's what you would post.

Ok , thanks again , My question about the folder of the mesh was because in downloads folder I can see the mesh [package file] and another [bak file] and I don't know for what is the .BAK file
What can I do with the .bak file? ... delete it?
This is the last question , I suppose that I'm boring you.

No, you're not boring me :) It's fine.

The package file is the one you want. The bak file is a backup that simpe made for you when you went to edit your package. (if you made changes to something and then it broke, you could delete your package and rename the 'bak' to 'package' to get your work back). Anyway, once you're done, bak files go in the trash.

You'll probably find some bak files in your saved sims folder also, same thing - when you used simpe to link your mesh in, it saved a bak file for you.
