hi, I have modified a mesh and when looking it at it in bodyshop, it has these funny little lines at the tops of the legs. I then edited the UV map which fixed another problem, but not my original one! so I was wondering if anyone could help me with it?
I have attached a picture showing the problem.
thanks

I think I know what your problem could be. I had the same thing on a lot of my dress and skirt meshes. The problem I think is within the alpha name. Go edit it and look carefully because there is white completely filled in for the front and back of the mesh. But just below the white there is a combined white and gray lines that is hard to notice unless you look closely. So go see and if it is then fill it black so that it won't show up. If this doesn't help then I don't know what else it could be.:)

Yup, Maxis seemed to think that putting 'shadows' under dress hems (and on sleeves too) by putting a gray (that sometimes becomes banded) on the alpha, and then black on the texture was a good idea. I always edit it off (or reduce it to be a much smaller area actually near the hemline). It always bothers me, looks like the toddlers have dirty legs.
