I'm following Numenor's tutorial but when I import the alpha texture, none of the color gets imported. It's all black and white.

It's driving me crazy why it does that.

Most glass don't have a texture. What you probably imported was the shadow alpha instead. To change the color of the glass, select the Material Definition of the glass and go to the Categorized Properties tab, select the line called stdMattDiffCoef and select a color using the arrow at the end of the line. Then commit and save.

If it's not your texture that's disotorted like that, then it must be the uv-mapping of the glass. The glass was not originally mapped in order to put a texture on it, and you'd have to adjust the uv-mapping to make it show correctly. This means you'd have to clone the window and make it a separate object from the Maxis one.

Can you tell me how to adjust the UV map?

You can also look around the tutorial sections yourself ;). There are object creation tutorials that, among other things explain uv-mapping an object, and Numenor has an article in the Modding Info-Center specifically on uv-mapping. What you need to do is clone the window, make a whole new object and everything that goes with that, and adjust the uv-mapping for the glass.

I already read his tutorial the create the table one. and I can't seem to apply it to the window.

And when I try it out the window doesn't even appear in the catalog. And in the object data, there's no where to click for window to be in.

Did you replace all the GUIDs in the package with new ones? Can you explain what you mean by the problem with the Object Data? Do you mean you can't place it into a catalog section? When correctly created, the window should automatically appear in the catalog under Multi-Story Windows.

I registered the GUIDs and everything. And they don't show in the game at all.
