View Full Version : Making stuff pack items available

I play on an Mac (with a windows partition) and the stuff packs aren't ported. I was thinking of buying GL for windows, but I was wondering if there is a simple flag within an object that will make it available to other ep's. Or do I have to extract all meshes, textures, mat def, etc and clone an object from an ep I have and import all those?

First of all, if you do this, it can only EVER be for personal use. You cannot distribute it whatsoever unless you really want all of EA's many lawyers up your butt.
Secondly, yes, you would have to clone from another item and import everything - meshes, textures, etc. from the item you want to have from GLS, into the clone. There's no simple flag you could do for that, just like you can't just change one setting for an item cloned from an expansion pack item and have it work in the base game.

Thanks HP that's what I thought. I really only want some of the GL objects. And I did plan on only doing it for myself, as I would have to buy the stuff packs first anyway, and I really don't need any lawyers up my butt. :wtf:
