View Full Version : Unwanted Transparency

I've been working on an armoire and I almost have it all done. But one issue doesn't want to go away. Parts of the doors are transparent. I have no idea why it is doing it.
I've checked the alphablend mode and it is set to none. I've even gone so far as to import a different matdef from an object that doesn't have that problem and still it's semi see through.
Is this something that can be fixed or am I just stuck with it?

Which part of it is not supposed to be transparent? Can you include the package, please? :)

The glass inside the doors is supposed to be transparent but it almost looks like the front faces of the wood part of the doors is transparent. At first I thought it was because I had part of the glass transparency on the wood texture so I split them up and it's still strange looking.
Thanks for taking a look. It is probably something simple that I have overlooked from frustration of spending days going back and forth between programs trying to fix the numerous issues I've had. I can't complain much about it though, seems like I learn more when my stuff doesn't work than when it does.
Do you think maybe the faces on the doors are facing the wrong direction?

Oops, nevermind. It didn't even hit me that the faces might be facing the wrong direction until last night when I was replying. I checked it today and that was the problem, turns out a few of my faces were the wrong way. I wondered why part of my mesh was black in Milkshape. It's fixed now, thankfully.
Sorry to have bothered you guys. Wish I had thought of that problem before I posted.
