I've got a Celeron M processor 380, Intel Grahics Media Accelerator 900 with a 64MB display card, 512MB DDR2 RAm. Windows XP

I had to format my computer, and needed to put all my expansion packs back, from Sims 2 through to Seasons.

Before that my downloads worked fine, but I only had Pets installed. Genetics I put in the downloads folder, and objects in the SavedSims folder.

Now that I want to put my downloads back again I realized that I don't have SavedSims under the My Documents/EAGames/TheSims2/SavedSims.

I did put some objects and Hair in only my downloads folder. But only the hair showed up, no furniture. (i do have the meshes)

Is that normal not to have a SavedSims folder. Did it have something to do with Seasons Expansion Pack.
How do I fix it.
Thanks

You need to either make one yourself, or I think you need to make a sim or a recolour in bodyshop, in order to force the game to make one.

Here's an article with information about organizing your downloads: Organizing Custom Content (http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Organizing_Custom_Content).

Objects do not go in the savedsims folder. Everything (including genetics) can go in the downloads folder with as many subfolders as you want. I've got tons. SavedSims is for sims made in Body Shop as well as stuff you do in Body Shop - finished projects.

You can manually add it back without a problem. Bodyshop might actually create itself the next time you start it up, but I'm not positive about that. :)

If you're having problems getting custom content to show up we do have an article on that Getting Custom Content to Show Up (http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:GCCTSU).

ETA: Too many windows open at the same time, biscuit beat me to it. And confirmed for me that bodyshop would create the file. Thank you!

Michele,
Objects go in my Downloads folder.
I keep the items for sims in my saved sims folder. It has worked well for me.

I put my downloaded genetics, accesories, and various sims bodyshapes plus all the meshes for those things and the recolors in my saved sims folder. I have not noticed any problems with the game.

It does take awhile in the game to load CAS. Bodyshop takes a bit but I have have alot of files in my saved sims folder.

I would advise downloading and installing the Sims2Pack clean installer to help you sort through the packages in both your downloads and saved sims folders. If you havent already. Its a great program and you will be able to know what is in both your download folder and saved sims folder. You can do a search on this site for the program. I have not used Delphys Download organizer yet. But that is another program that might help. I have not had the time to go through the maunal for DDO yet.

My entire game takes 4 gig of space on my hard drive. Most of that is my saved sims folder.

Good luck
