I been recoloring but now I want to create new meshes. I've downloaded and reviewed the tutorials for MilkShape, Blender 3D, UVMapper, & Wings 3D. I just have 2 questions:
1. Which one is the most user friendly?
2. (user friendliness aside) which one is the least "limited"?

The tutorials seem to include many comments such as, "Blender is not as limited as Milkshape" and "Blender is more complicated to use".

I feel like I have the overall idea RE: the basic concepts (vertices) and I am very familiar with desktop graphics (reflective, shiny, transparent, etc). Now I just want to get going on some cool stuff but I could use an opinion on which one to start with.

Just to clarify that UVMapper is a uv-mapping program while the other three are mesh programs, so UVMapper can't really be compared to the others, rather you'd use it together with one of the mesh programs.

I use Milkshape, and would say it's more user-friendly than Blender 3D, but I don't have that much experience on the latter. Milkshape has the benefit over the other two that, using add-on plugins, you can retain and edit joints in animated object meshes and body meshes. With Blender and Wings you're limited to working on objects that don't have joints, or at least you're going to need another program besides them if you want to make animated objects.

Wow, I really appreciate such a quick reply --it's the weekend, gotta stay up late! Thanks for the UVM FYI --so many apps, got a bit confusing. So Milkshape it is! I got all the plugins & I'm ready to rock! Going to make some mad stuff now! Thanks again!
