countertop cutout from sink

When making a sink that sits on a counter, can I modify the shape of the cutout on the counter top somehow?

It should be from the sink, the shape of the sink will do the cutout

hmm, apparently not, because i tried making a triangular shaped sink based on an oval shaped maxis sink, and the cutout was oval, not triangle.

blake_boy, There should be a texture in the sink which will look like an alpha. That is what determines the shape of the cutout, so you will need to modify that till it matches the shape.

I couldn't find the alpha anywhere john, i suspect it has something to do with the "null" though
