Ok I just installed a new graphics card on my HP Compaq DS5000 (just in case you need to know the type of computer ;) ) Its a Nvidia Ge Force 6200. I had a chip set built in to the motherboard of my computer so I deleted the drivers for that first before installing Nvidia's drivers. Then I installed Direct X9 and tried to play The Sims. The game will start, you can hear the music and everything and when i hit enter it skips the intro but for some reason there is no Sims screen. It shows up in the taskbar but for some reason it stays as my desktop instead of the game. I removed the cache and the cigen and it still wasn't working, and then i got rid of my downloads and that didn't work. So now I'm going to try a re install and see if that works. I also noticed while uninstalling Sims that the drivers for my old card showed back up again in the add/remove programs screen.... Could this be a problem??
Edit: Re installing the base game has proven to fix the issue but I dont have any EP's installed yet and Seasons was the game I was trying to play so we will see!!
