A while ago, I made a custom CAS screen following this (http://mikeinside.modthesims2.com/hacks/casmod.html) tutorial. Everything went fine, and my custom screen worked - but I was surprised to see that the default CAS!.package appeared to be a different screen than what normally shows up in-game. (I know that it wasn't a custom one, though.) It had flowers, annoying lighting, and mirrors in front of the curtain.
A while later, I decided I didn't like my custom screen, and replaced it with the default package. Now what shows up in-game is the screen with flowers and mirrors, ect.
But here's the real problem: Now, whenever I try to install a custom CAS screen (not one I've made, just downloaded ones) the game crashes when loading CAS. I've tried both putting the custom package in my downloads folder and in the GlobalLots folder.
One last thing: When I followed the tutorial, I wasn't sure if I should use the CAS!.package in the normal TSData folder, or the TSData folder for one of the expansion packs. I can't remember, but I'm suspicious that I ended up using a CAS!.package from an expansion folder and that's what's causing this new screen to show up.
Does anyone know what's going on here?
