Transferring ownership of a home business

How does a Sim transfer ownership of a home business? I'd like another Sim in the household to become the owner, but I don't see a way to do it. With a community lot business, I think there is an option to propose a lot transfer when you click on another Sim, but I'm not seeing any option like that when the owner clicks on another household member. If there is no in-game way, I don't mind cheating or using a hack or program to transfer ownership to another Sim, if possible.

Home business' cannot be transfered because there is no deed. They are inherited by the closest family member living on the lot. I really do not know of any hacks/mods that accomplish what you want to do. I would suggest asking in WCIF at S2C to see if there is something out there.

I sort of solved this in my game by shutting down the business and having the "target" household member open it again. Might that work for you? I'm not sure whether there aren't any drawbacks, since I don't care about perks and business level and stuff .. it might be that those get lost that way.

I always use the 'pass on' interaction so the new owner gets the perks..and the business level remains the same no matter what. :) But, that would work. Why not just make sure the person you want to own it is 100/100 with the owner and lives in the household and use the perk pass along? Just musing. lol

I suppose shutting it down and reopening it is the best way even though rank will be lost, since that seems to be the only way to control when the transfer takes place and who it is transferred to.
