"Check in with a business" technical issue

Firstly my Computer Specs are

OS: Windows XP w/ Windows Vista UI
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 Processor 3.00 GHz
RAM : 2.5 GB
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon X600 PRO 256MB memory Driver Version: 6.14.0010.6727 (English)

The last time i acutally tried the command "Check in with a business" was in Sims 2 Pets and i know it worked back then, recently i got EP Bon Voyage, and i have an Electronics Supercenter Business.

I have an Adult Sim Promoted to Manager position, and i have asked her to "Mind the Store".

On a daily basis i do receieve cash from my business but the problem lies that i cant "Check in with that business". What exactly happens is when i call and ask to "Check in with a business" the conversation starts, the 'purple meter' shows up and disappears right away without actually filling up and then disappearing.

As you can see the meter shows up and disappears instantly, therefore when i get the message of cash received from business it asks me to check in with the business to improve it, and on doing so i have this glitch..

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I only have the "Practice option on Cashier" hack that could possibly related to OFB.

Please help me solve this glitch and earn some nice money :)

Well the problem with that is, that like other ones my problem is not as easy to reoccur it without my saved sims and lots, because the meter works fine for everything except "Check in with a business" and to make a manager and a business to actually be eleigible to check in with it would be as good as playing a whole new family lifetime, which can take days...

Well, you can at least start with removing your entire Downloads folder to make sure that it's not custom content related. Assuming that it's just a hack issue doesn't work, it could be another non-hack/hacked object.

Umm i am still not sure what the problem was, but its ok i can now manage it cuz i just discovered that if i used a mounted home phone, it works fine. The problem persists only if i used a cellphone, so i think i will just use the mounted phone and run my business, thanx anyways can now lock it :)
