I'm new at this, but I kinda understand how it all works.
The only thing is, I have no clue how to make a new style of clothing and hair.
I'm a naruto fan, and I noticed how the sims can't live alone unless they're an adult, right?
Now that I want to start the main naruto characters as teenagers, and I want the right parents, not thier teachers!
So I'm making one of the parents right now.
I got the eyes done, but when It comes to the clothes and hair.....
1. I need a totaly diffrent hair style, which I have no clue how to make.

2. I found a skirt that would work for making the bottom, though I have no clue how to make it a bit shorter, add an apron, get the right top..etc.

Can someone please help?

I'm not a mesher, so I don't know how, but, you have checked through the beginning tutorials for meshing, right? If not, check those out; they really explain everything. Then, move on from there to the more complicated ones.

Beginning Clothing/Body Meshing Tutorial - Using MeshTool/OBJ (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=141997)
Beginning Clothing/Body Meshing Tutorial - Using Unimesh/Milkshape (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=142305)
Hair Meshing with MilkShape and UniMesh (Beginners) (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=158048)

Or... for an easier solution, try finding a mesh that's /close/, and use that. IE, for the apron, find a pre-existing mesh and add the apron on as a texture. Find hair that's close and alpha-edit it.

That's a place to start... Hope that helps some.

zombiejill is correct, You need to understand the mesh parts and how to modify them before you tackle a hair mesh. They are more complicated.

Yup, you start at the beginning, doing very small edits to a body mesh. Then more difficult edits that teach about uvmapping. Then more difficult edits that teach you about mesh parts... then you start by doing a basic hair edit where you do very small changes. Then you experiment further....

Learning to mesh animated bodies/hair is a long process. Requires dedication and attention to detail and willingness to do things over and over again, if things don't work as you expect.

This not to say it can't be done - obviously it CAN, and people do, but it's not something that you can learn in an afternoon or even a week.
