I have Bon Voyage, Free time, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Teen Style (stuff) and University downloaded. I have no custom content/hacks. I have played the whole thing together and everything worked fine. But I loaded it, after doing nothing different, and went to make a new family. In the box where it normally says "Enter last name here" there was nothing. In picking their aspirations, nothing showed up when I hovered over it. The icons were there but the aspiration (family/pleasure/etc) WORD wasn't.

When I got to the house I couldn't re-color anything- in the catalog or with the design tool. It just said "this object is not designable"

Then, when I hovered over a want they would have it would say something along the lines of (this is for adopt a pet): "#### missingstring for <adopt a pet> +5000" (no quotes) Also, the needs text was missing. The bars are there but not hunger/energy/etc.

I've reset the game, the computer. It happens every time. I followed the file that comes up before you can post but it wouldn't let me rename the sims 2 file in ea games folder.

Sorry if this has been answered, but I looked and couldn't find it.

When you say you downloaded the game and EPs, did you buy them through EA Online store?

It sounds to me like your objects.package is corrupt, or some other game file. Try the Game Help:Corrupted Objects.package FAQ.
