Family Tree Problems

I've had some issues with my sims lately - the game deleted some of them. Luckily I had SimPE and was able to put them back in and fix their family relations.
However, some of the sims' family trees do not show who their related to or have them mixed up. Its a little disturbing to see a mother who's son's half brother is somehow her father... :blink:

I've tried to fix this with SimPE under 'Family Ties" but the program gives me an 'error' message. Is there anyway of fixing this in-game?

You may be able to do this with Insim (HP or someone who uses that mod will hopefully jump in here!), but I'd guess that- as SimPE is reporting errors- you have some file corruption in your neighbourhood folder. There could be other problems that you are unaware of so I'd strongly recommend restoring a backup, or starting a fresh hood if you don't have a backup.
