I've probably posted this question before, but as far as I can remember I haven't posted it here. And there is no section about it in the FAQ, so here goes.
I'm not sure exactly which expansion pack is the culprit, but due to one of them, The Sims 2 no longer has mode-exclusive music. Originally there used to be separate music for the Buy and Build modes, but now the music seems to cross over between those modes, and even into totally unrelated modes like Create-A-Sim or Neighborhood.
I play the game customized with some of the music from the original Sims 1 (which had piano for build and 50's orchestra for buy), and it's annoying having them crossover into different modes.
I also noticed that, back when Sims 2 was first released, switching between Buy and Build would actually fade the music as well, from the Buy playlist into the Build playlist. It no longer does this.
Does anyone know exactly what is causing this? And if so, how do I revert it back to normal?
