Help needed cloning/recoloring my own items

Needing assistance with recoloring/cloning. I've become pretty comfy with cloning an item and creating my own image. However, I would like to know how to reclone items I've created. For instance, I'm attempting to catalog multiple paintings by the same artist (Archibald Motley Jr) under the same item so that when I go to the "Buy-Paintings" mode, I can click on the asterisked painting and see all 9 paintings. As of now, I only see 1 painting under the "buy" menu. I, newbie, created multiples of the txtr file in SimPE, but... alas, it doesn't work that way.

In most cases, Maxis didn't enable the colour options for the paintings; you need the CEP in order to make them recolourable.
Your clone is not recolourable because either you don't have the CEP, or SimPE is not correctly configured.
If the first, then you should just download and install the CEP, and then clone again the painting (so that your clone will result automatically colour-enabled).
If you already have the CEP, then you should reset SimPE's file table (Extra -> Preferences -> File Table -> click "Reset").
