Career Not Functioning

Hey Guys,

I have followed a few tutorials on here, and I am a bit confused.

In the game, I can choose the career, and my custom icon is showing up. The wages are right for the level, so are the days, times and skills required.

However all the job titles and descriptions are still from the Science career. (The career I built off of). I have registered a new GUID etc and followed the tutorial to make it EP compatible.

I go back into the Bidou Career editor to see if the level titles/descriptions registered, and they are still what I set them too. I've tried saving it again, closing the game etc but it is still coming up with the above problem.

Any help would be appreciated,

Uhm... You live in the UK, by chance? :)

I think that the problem is in the Text Lists: they can hold multiple languages, and the most common error is to forget to clear all the unused languages.
If you change the text in the US English section, but you don't edit nor clear the UK English (and all the other languages), only US players will see the new text. UK players, as well French, Italians etc., will still see the original text.

Solution (if I guessed right): select the Text List and click "Default Language Only", on the left.
Don't forget to COMMIT and SAVE when done.

My career is written in American English, and I've put a warning on the thread for it that people with other versions would see the original text rather than mine. Unacceptable of course. Just seen this thread and, well, gonna make the change.

I have SimPE 0.68.2.31354

Now I don't see a checkbox on the left that would read anything like "Default Language Only". What I see is this: In the Language menu (from the bidou editor) I see:
One English (checked and grayed out)
English Only (checkable, currently unchecked)
Copy... (grayed out)

English Only, could it be that? Or should I upgrade to a version which has the new option?

In my previous post, I was talking about the general behavious of the Text Lists (as edited in the main SimPE, not with Bidou's plugin). In your case, probably the "English only" is the right option :)

im having exactly the same problem, only I just cant get the chance cards to show up :cry:
